All Perch! products are handmade in Brooklyn New York...our small team consists of Amy, Jim, Gus the cat and usually one or two talented young designers.
Most perch! products are multifunctional objects that allow the owner to decide what to do with them.
We like birds, but we like fish, too.
Perch! products are environmentally friendly - low impact materials and processes, non-toxic finishes and byproducts. We do our best to keep our shipping practices low impact as well.
Perch! is an advocate for a design process with time for research and fine tuning, manufacturing that supports local industries, workshops and craftspeople.
Amy Adams, the designer of all Perch! products, is from Minneapolis but lives in and cares deeply about Brooklyn. She has a few degrees - in Art (Iowa State) and Design (Pratt). She likes to make things - mostly ceramics but also furniture and food things too. Favorite things at the moment: red hook, plants, stools, books, ice tea, tomatoes, small cabins and surf movies.
