Materials and Product Care

All pieces are made of earthenware in the USA. The glazes are completely non-toxic and food safe. They are dishwasher safe. Pieces that live outdoors may weather. To prolong the life of your piece, be aware of wear - sitting water, any cracking or fraying of the cord, cracks. If you live in a very wet or very cold place, you may want to bring your piece in for the winter.

We try to make every piece uniform and perfect, but of course occasionally there are slight variations in shape, finish, color or thickness.

A note on our Shipping Materials

We always strive to keep our shipping materials eco-friendly and efficient.  For years we have used cornstarch peanuts but are looking for other (lighter and less mouse friendly) alternatives. We are simply going to re-use a lot more of what comes in - and we hope you can re-use our packing materials too!

The most important thing for us is getting you the products safely and efficiently!

Retail Shipping Policy

Our items are shipped to you in a sturdy box via UPS Ground or for small items USPS. Please allow up to ten business days for delivery. Many pieces are made to order and will not ship for 3-5 days. We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays. Please note that we cannot ship to a P.O. Box address. Lighting is made to order and takes about one week in addition to shipping time. UL will take an extra two weeks. If you need either 2nd Day Air or Next Day Delivery, please email us at info@perchceramics.com or call us at 718-858-9399. Retail shipping charges are: $8-10 in the USA $18 to Canada $32 International and a bit more for wholesale orders.

We don't gift wrap but are more than happy to include a handwritten note - just type it in the comments field when you are checking out.

 

Return Policy

Retail returns will be accepted within 10 days. Shipping charges will not be refunded. Wholesale orders are not returnable unless the items are damaged. If your purchase is damaged in shipment, we will be happy to replace it at no charge. If you are unhappy with your purchase it must be returned in original and unused condition and in original packaging. It must be well packed. If it is damaged upon return you will not receive a refund.

All items are refundable (within 10 days) with the exception of the following lighting: Black Bird, Color Birds, Zooey, Walker, Franny, Hans, Custom Letter Lights, Frida & Diego. The Early Bird Light in white is returnable.

Damage claims on shipped items must be made within 48 hours of package arrival.

Wholesale

We are always happy to find a new retail partner.  We try not to oversaturate any particular city or neighborhood, so check out our list of retailers first, but please feel free to email us with questions.

Our minimum first time order is $300. There is a wholesale price list here.  Delivery time is usually 3-4 weeks but around the holidays it is definitely longer.  Our small studio really does make every piece by hand. 

Our wholesale shipping is approximately $12-16 per box in the US, $30-50 per box to Europe and about $60 per box to other countries.  We can get you an estimate when you place your order.

Custom Stuff

We get asked often to do custom products. We don't take most of these jobs because, since all of our pieces are slip cast, the majority of the work goes into mold making. If the quantity isn't enough, that job isn't worth our time.

That being said, we are open to some custom projects. Especially our lights - a custom color or configuration - we'd love to talk about it. And our latest endeavor  is tile-making - someday soon we'll be able to share some pictures of our awesome large blue tiles. Until then, you can see a few here.
